Why is Community so Important?

Connection.

We are creating connection, building community and making change to support Canberra’s loss parents. We want to ensure no one walks this path alone. We host safe spaces online and in person for people to share their loss and connect with others. Our beautiful loss community is so incredibly supportive of each other! Whether your baby died decades ago or days ago, whether you’re a loss parent or love someone who is, whether you have living children or not.

Awareness.

We are driven to raise awareness of the grief of baby loss at any stage, and break the stigma surrounding it. It’s uncomfortable to share and hear about baby loss, but it happens to so many people, who suffer in silence. Why on earth are we still doing this, in 2025?!
Let’s break down the barriers.
Action.

We work with Canberra hospitals and health clinics to help them support bereaved families. We believe change can be driven at all levels - we are starting at the interface of health care providers and loss parents, at the time of their baby’s death. Helping front line carers to provide better connection and care to their patients is critical, and helps people cope with grief. We work closely to help them understand what’s helpful and unhelpful from a loss parents’ perspective.
All the little steps add up.
